What the heck is Sugaring?

What is Sugaring?

All-natural baby!

Sugaring uses a gel-like paste with 3 simple ingredients: lemon, sugar, and water. During the hair removal process, your follicles are wide-open, so this all-natural, safe blend of chemical-free goodness ensures they’re kept safe at their most vulnerable moments. This paste is also water-soluble making clean-up easy, peasy, lemon squeezy.

 Tah-tah ingrown!

During sugaring, the esthetician flicks the sticky paste off in the direction of hair growth ensuring that the hair is removed from the root and not broken off at the surface (which is the common result of waxing that yields the pesky ingrowns we all know far too well). Lucky for you, sugaring and ingrown hair are like water and oil – they simply don’t mix.

Less pain, less hair growth (need we say more?).

Possibly the nail in the coffin for the waxing versus sugaring debate is the fact that sugaring is not only less painful but can also lead to a reduction in hair growth. Unlike with waxing, sugaring doesn’t stick to live skin cells meaning the esthetician’s flick is swiftly taking out the entire piece of hair rather than a layer of skin. Less hair, less pain, less bikini line worries.

We’ll let you decide who weighs in supreme.

Can you still get sugared on your period?

The answer is ‘Yes’. We deal with periods not only as women ourselves but as professionals. Of course this may be a comfort thing for some ladies, but as a friendly reminder our 48hour cancelation policy does apply even under ‘that time of the month’ circumstances.

Cancelation Policy

Due to limited availability of appointments, we request that you cancel/reschedule at least 48 hours before your scheduled appointment. You may cancel by phone or email. If you cancel or reschedule after the 48-hour period, the card on file will be charged 40% of the booked service. No shows will be charged 100% of the booked service.
